Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter - Sweet Tart

Today, I will be talking about the Lip Butter in Sweet Tart, which is another lip product I mentioned in another post that I published within this week. Wowzah! When I bought this, I had no idea why I chose this color. I opened it up, looked at the product and immediately thought that is was going to be unflattering. And boy, was I wrong!

Sweet Tart is a light-medium pink with yellow undertones and a cream finish. No blue tones here! It doesn't make my teeth yellow nor does it make it look whiter. It just sits there. Just like Tutti Frutti this makes my lips look juicy. Man, times like these make me wish I want a boyfriend just to ask for their opinion on if this looks juicy or not. Lol I'm such a weirdo.
It has no shimmer or anything as well, which I kind of appreciate. Not that I don't like lip products like those but it's because they turn all weird looking in the tube after a few uses. You know what I'm trying to say? No? Oh well. It kind of looks like a bubblegum pink in the picture and I guess it may look like that sometimes but on my lips and in person it's really nice.
(L-R): Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Pop, VS Lipstick in Hot Kiss, Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Sweetheart, Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart,MAC Fanfare
Pink Pop is actually very similar but since it's sheer, it doesn't show up the same on the lips but they are very similar. Hot Kiss is darker and cool toned. Sweetheart is darker and brighter and a touch more neon. Fanfare is more muted and less bright.

Overall, this turns out to be my favorite from the Lip Butter bunch that I currently own. Sweet Tart will suite all shades of skin and it will look good. For some, this may even be a great everyday shade but for me it's actually a tad too bright for my everyday liking but I still wear it. I definitely recommend checking out Sweet Tart. It doesn't disappoint me and hopefully you like it as much as I do :D

Until Next Time,

  1. I love Sweet Tart! I feel like it's bright, but just sheer enough to not be overpowering. :]

  2. Well if it's your favourite... I'm awfully tempted! It looks gorgeous on you :) I like your face swatches because I think since we have similar skin tones, it accurately depicts what it would look like on me! Much appreciated :) xx
