Revlon Matte Lipstick in "Mauve it Over" (Review and Swatches)

In all honesty, I just bought this because I heard it was a nice lipstick. And "ThatsHeart" from youtube really loves it and I was so intrigued to try it. I always see it at Walmart and it was never something I was interested in. So I finally got it !

It's a really pretty Mauve-y shade, hence the name, MAUVE it over. When I applied it onto my lips, I was in love ! It's definitely a "My lips but better" shade. I have other "my lips but better" lipsticks and this is by far my most favorite. It wears as long as my MAC lipsticks do, which is very impressive.

I just adore the texture of this lipstick. Although it's suppose to be matte, I feel like it leans more towards a semi-matte finish. There's nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, I prefer it more than a true matte finish. It's also not drying like most matte lipsticks. And I do notice a slight floral scent. It's nothing major unlike the Revlon Colorburst lipsticks and lipglosses which I dislike due to their unflattering scents. I'm planning to purchase the new Revlon Colorburst lip butters and I am hoping they don't have the same scent. Anyway, I'm getting off topic as usual. This lipstick glides on like a dream ! Ughh I just love these ! Revlon definitely needs to expand their matte lipsticks line and produce more shades !

This is by far my favorite lipstick. I'm not sure if it's my HG lipstick but it might be it for now. I just love it <3
