Maybelline Quad in "Plum Smokes" (Review and Swatches)

This quad is very interesting. Thought it does contain a lot of purple, I think you can easily create an everyday neutral look with this.

If you look in the picture above, I'm not sure if you can see what I see, but the lid color is a light purple color with gold shimmers. I thought it was very interesting. It reminded me of a Nars duo I had seen once. I think it's called Sugarland. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Lid Color

So here's the breakdown:

• Base - It's ok. It's really nothing special. It's a really pale pink shade with shimmer, of course. I don't really see myself using this that much. It is VERY shimmery. It's insane. But it's still pretty and I don't get glitter fallout when I use it. Its texture is not that smooth either
• Lid -  As I mentioned earlier, this looked like a shade from a Nars duo. Though I don't have that duo, I'm sure it's much more pigmented than this one and has finer shimmer. This lid color nice anyway. Though it's not that pigmented, I think it's still nice. It's a nice pale lavender with golden shimmer if you can't tell from it's lonely swatch shown in the picture above. This color is unique though I wish it's quality could be better.
• Crease- The crease color is very smooth. Not soft, just smooth. It's a shimmery gray-ish lavender. It's not that shimmery to the point where there is a lot of fall out but it's still very nice. I can see myself using this for a daytime look. It's pigmentation is pretty great, in my opinion, but it's not pigmented enough to take my breath away.
• Liner - This color is surprisingly pigmented! Its texture is not so smooth but it's not so rough. However, it's a very pretty color and I thought it wouldn't swatch or apply true to color because of how it felt when I swatched it on my finger. It's a very dark plummy brown with gold shimmer. I think it's beautiful. I thought my favorite shade was going to be the lid color but it turned out to be this one :]

Though I really did like the liner and crease shades, this quad didn't really meet up to my expectations because the lid color wasn't as pigmented as I would like it to have been since it was the shade I was excited to try.
